Over the past few weeks, I have been going through some personal things.
Through the things I have worked through and prayed about thankfulness has been a word on my heart the last few days. I have started writing a thankful journal, and the more you think about what to be thankful for you could actually write a whole page.
It’s easy to get so caught up in the bitterness of life. Because things have gone wrong and people have mistreated us and our circumstances never change and we suffer things we feel we should not have to suffer.
I have realized how these thoughts can actually be quite condemning and pull you down in a significant way that it can actually stop you from doing what God wants you to do, when we do not have the right attitude.
So as I go into the new year, I am going to not have a New years resolution. But I am going to be thankful. And to help me get through certain circumstances, I am going to ponder these verses Philippians.4:8
8 Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.
