Sometimes, in life, it’s easy to keep looking back – at the ‘good old days’ what was good then, what we did, who were our friends and it becomes and easy trap to stop us looking forward.
I have been thinking a lot, how I often look back to the time I was in great ormond street what I could have done better, could I have treated people better and could I have had more faith.
In the end, what happened, happened. We make choices that are sometimes the wrong choices, life doesn’t go how we planned, and we have to accept that and trust God that despite our bad choice, He will still be in control.
In cases such as ill health, it is hard to look forward. Yet, looking forward, despite our situations, gives us hope and puts us on a path to perseverance. Because perseverance produces character and makes us stronger in our faith.
And not only this, but we also exult in our tribulations, knowing that tribulation brings about perseverance; 4and perseverance, proven character; and proven character, hope; 5and hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out within our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us.
This has been on my mind since I did my podcast ‘suffering’ on you tube.
It’s a verse becoming relevant in my life, I hope you can apply it to yours and know that despite feeling ill, or whatever your circumstance is, we can know and be assured that God has made a way for us, we just have to keep looking forward and keep on trusting him.
