Today I came across some scripture that has been familiar with me for a while.
- 2 Cor. 12:9 And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.”
When we go through trials, we often are found confused and wonder what God is doing in our lives. We are confronted by fear, condemnation and anger. Because we feel that life hasn’t gone as we planned and because we want everything to be perfect.
The verse above, has almost been a comfort to me in recent months. To me it says that we are all we need to be. And when we are at our weakest God can work the most in our lives.
When we feel we have nothing, He is enough. We can get through the day knowing we are close to God and that through His grace we are made strong in Christ’s power.
Feeling free from fear is an amazing thing and not condemning ourselves and praying/being thankful, will acknowledge what God is doing in our lives. And even in our trials and tribulations, he is doing something. In the misdt we cannot see but He is our light and our guide.
I was travelling to Coventry and Warwickshrie hospital the other week, in thick fog it was morning sometime after the school run but the fog was so low and so thick I had to rely on the car in front for guidance of the road ahead.
I felt through this journey to the hospital, that this is how our troubled times are and that when all we can see is a small glimpse of light to follow, God will safely get us to where we need to be and in the mean time He is doing all the work around us.
Lets trust God when things get tough. We are here to encourage each other, and through our troubles we can comfort one another, because God is comforting us.
The next time someone approaches you with a problem, listen, and be the example we should be as Jesus calls us.
